The UiPath Automation Excellence Awards returns with its much-awaited second edition. We launched this program last year, aiming to recognise & celebrate the game changers of Automation and received an overwhelming response in the inaugural year. What followed was a exciting journey through nomination, evaluation, and the anticipation, culminating with 30 exceptional winners!
This year, as the world changes around us, many ambitious and forward-thinking companies that adopted Robotic Process Automation (RPA) have shown greater resilience, moving up to the front lines to solve problems, in business, in growth, in everyday life, with the sheer power of Automation. With new categories and awards, we are back to celebrate such forward-thinking people, teams and organizations that are pushing Automation forward to resolve some of the greatest challenges of our times. So, stay tuned, we promise there is a lot to look forward to!
You can nominate your project in a wide range of functional and non-functional categories. This year, you could nominate different projects even in one category. What's more, we would have awards for special categories (see below) based on the fitment of your RPA project, as assessed by our esteemed jury.
All nominated projects must have gone live between 1st March 2019 and 30th June 2020. The categories given below are the basis of submitting nomination forms. However, final categories may vary.
The most important benefit is your chance to understand how good your project really is and where it can be improved. Because this will be an independent evaluation, vetted by an eminent jury—the entire nomination & evaluation process is in itself, a great learning experience. However, for the winners, there’s even more - the details of which have been provided on our website.
Since most details in the nomination form require your consent/approval, and the evaluating consultants would be primarily in touch with you, the customer—it would only be apt that the form itself is filled in and submitted by you. Your UiPath executive or partner could help you to fill-up the form. However, only your team and your partner would be involved in the evaluation discussions.
The value that you and your team could get in this process is indeed substantial.
We would urge you to make limited time to go through the process—the sheer feeling of winning would be a great boost to your project team. However, the decision is entirely yours.
The UiPath Automation Excellence Awards are all about recognising the best RPA-led projects based on their quality and the impact they create —regardless of your company size. This year, we also have a separate award for Emerging businesses/SMBs. Going forward, if the jury feels that a separate category needs to be formed for smaller companies, we will be more than happy to do that too—provided there are sufficient nos. of nominations under this category.
So, if you are reasonably confident about your project, why not give it a chance for added recognition & rewards?
Regretfully, a given project cannot be nominated under multiple categories or win multiple awards. Our Helpline executives can help you decide the best fit for you are project, if you are confused. Regardless of whatever category you nominate your project in, the evaluators would connect with you to get your permission to re-categorise, if they feel the need to do so. Don't worry, a good project would not be allowed to lose simply because it is entered in a wrong award category.
We do understand your concerns.
However, our objective here is to ensure the objectivity, impartiality, and credibility of our awards. Clearly, this will require some details, especially as we go deeper into the evaluation process. Please rest assured that the details submitted will only be used to refer to the particular project and are intended to add strength to the case being presented. We are sure you too would appreciate the awards not being based on superficial information, and for them to mean real value, the contest must be fair & the evaluation robust. We strongly feel that the evaluation process, itself, could be a useful learning area for your project team—to perhaps look at future projects, too.
Further, there exists a strong NDA between UiPath and the evaluators—to ensure 100% confidentiality, even for UiPath executives who are not involved with the awards process. We intend to build a high-quality standard for the UiPath Automation Excellence Awards, the most important of them being absolute confidentiality.
You could discuss this further in the proposed webinars —to get added reassurance.
We’d also like to emphasise the fact that none of the nominees from last year have had any issues with this aspect, at all.
As already indicated, please get in touch with our Helpline executives to get specific & detailed advice about the categories—including executives involved for escalations.
A good project would not be allowed to lose simply because of wrong categorisation.
Also, if there are sufficient nominations in what could appear to be a new category, such a category may be added later. And rest assured we will contact you for consent before re-categorising your project.
Congratulations! That’s great news. But why should your organisation or your project team not get additional recognition & rewards for a project well done?
The UiPath Automation Excellence Awards aim to be a hallmark of quality RPA projects. The proposed process design, independent evaluation, and the value pack for winners are in our opinion, unmatched. If UiPath Automation Excellence Awards are going to be the gold standard in this industry, why not aim to win here too?
Truly a relevant issue. There are many awards out there that use fairly superficial procedures and evaluations, but...
NOT the UiPath Automation Excellence Awards.
We aim to establish a high quality, relevant-to-business, and coveted set of awards. As we have indicated earlier, the entire process has been designed to be a learning experience, useful in subsequent projects too. The independent evaluations, the judgement of an eminent jury (and your interactions with them at the awards event) would all add substantially to both your organisational & personal learning.
The jury members for the awards will be introduced to all at a later stage of the evaluation process. We are aiming for a rich mix of eminent UiPath Customer Board members & senior industry executives to be on the jury panel.
Yes, absolutely. You could certainly apply each year—but not with the same project. Please note that you’ll need to adhere to the qualification timelines, too—for your project to have gone live.
Firstly, we have updated and added certain award categories. The nomination form has also been modified to be more focused - so it can further benefit nominees and the evaluations. However, the value received by all nominees for going through the evaluation process and that received by winners remains the same. In addition, you could nominate different projects even in one category
The situation right now has raised concerns from many of the customers. As the issue prevails, many executives may not prefer to attend a large live event. Keeping these points in mind, we want to evaluate and decide on the possibility of a live event a bit later.
We understand your feelings on this matter.
Unfortunately, choosing one winner implies that all others cannot win. This does NOT imply that your project was not good enough—it’s just that another project was considered to be better.
Our evaluation process has been well appreciated by nominees and jury members alike. Please feel free to check this out with other nominees, if you wish.
We hope that you would take this as a challenge and continue to submit your nominations.
But it is indeed your decision, always. And we respect that wholeheartedly.
This second edition of UiPath Automation Excellence Awards--2020 is intended for domestic customers (India, South Asia only) and GICs.
Though, UiPath partners could certainly help their customers nominate their projects for the awards, as they did last year. However, we have separate Partner Excellence Awards instituted especially for partners, BPOs, GSIs, and Big 4 companies.
